1. Introduction
Welcome to Bespoke & Co. Tailors Fit Kenya. By using our alteration and tailoring services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services.
2. Services Provided
Bespoke & Co. Tailors offers professional men's tailoring and alteration services, including but not limited to:
- Shirt Alterations: Sleeve adjustment, length adjustment, slimming, collar adjustment, and button/zipper repair.
- Trouser Alterations: Hemming, waist adjustment, zipper replacement, leg tapering, and rise adjustment.
- Suit Alterations: Jacket slimming, sleeve length adjustment, shoulder reduction, jacket lengthening, and full suit restructuring.
- Jacket & Coat Alterations: Sleeve length, body slimming, length adjustment, and lining replacement.
- Repairs: Zipper replacement, fabric patching, darning, invisible mending, and elastic replacement.
- Bespoke Tailoring: Custom-made suits, shirts, and trousers.
Our services are provided by experienced master tailors led by owner David Ochieng, who ensures every garment is crafted with precision and care.
3. Quotes and Payment
- Quotes: All quotes are provided via WhatsApp or email after assessing your garment. Quotes are valid for 7 days from the date of issue.
- Payment: Payment is due upon collection of your altered garment. We accept cash, M-Pesa, and bank transfers.
- Deposits: For bespoke tailoring and large orders, we may require a 50% deposit before starting work.
- Price Changes: We reserve the right to adjust prices if additional work is required beyond the initial assessment.
4. Turnaround Times
- Standard Alterations: 1–3 working days (shirts, trousers, simple repairs).
- Complex Alterations: 3–5 working days (suits, jackets, coats, shoulder adjustments, lengthening).
- Bespoke Tailoring: 3–4 weeks (custom-made garments).
- Rush Service: Available for urgent orders at an additional cost of KSh 200 per garment.
Turnaround times are estimates and may be affected by garment complexity, workload, and material availability. We will communicate any delays promptly.
5. Customer Responsibilities
- Garment Condition: You are responsible for ensuring the garment you provide is clean and free from stains or damage unrelated to alteration.
- Measurements: For bespoke tailoring, you must attend fittings as scheduled. Failure to attend may delay your order.
- Clear Instructions: You must provide clear instructions regarding the alterations you require. We are not responsible for misunderstandings caused by unclear instructions.
- Collection: Garments must be collected within 30 days of completion. Uncollected garments may be disposed of after 90 days.
6. Liability
- Garment Damage: While we take every precaution, we are not liable for damage caused by pre-existing weaknesses in the fabric or garment construction.
- Lost or Damaged Garments: In the unlikely event that your garment is lost or damaged, our liability is limited to the cost of the alteration service, not the value of the garment.
- Reasonable Care: We exercise reasonable care when handling your garments. However, we are not responsible for normal wear and tear, colour fading, or shrinkage.
- Maximum Liability: Our total liability to you for any claim arising from our services is limited to the total amount paid for the alteration service.
7. Satisfaction Guarantee
We are committed to your satisfaction. If you are not happy with the fit of your altered garment, we will make reasonable adjustments to ensure it meets your expectations, at no additional cost. This guarantee does not apply to:
- Changes in your body size or shape after the alteration is completed.
- Garments that have been washed or worn after collection.
- Alterations made to garments that were not in good condition initially.
8. Cancellation and Refunds
- Cancellation: You may cancel your order before work has commenced. A cancellation fee of 10% of the quoted price may apply.
- Refunds: Refunds are not provided for completed alterations. If you are unsatisfied, we will make reasonable adjustments to meet your expectations.
- Deposits: Deposits for bespoke tailoring are non-refundable once work has commenced.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and graphics, is the intellectual property of Bespoke & Co. Tailors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without prior written permission.
10. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
